Dear SSFUSD Community,
Spring is here! We are so thankful to our staff, students, and parents for following our safety guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19. With the extra hour of daylight, we hope you enjoy time with your family.
While COVID-19 cases still appear to be low in San Mateo County, we should all stay on guard, especially as reports of a new subvariant begin to surface.
As we look forward to Spring Break, which begins March 28, we ask that you please remember to stay safe and conscientious during this time. We look forward to your safe return on April 4, 2022.
To help protect our community, our district plans to distribute COVID-19, at-home testing kits to all employees and students during the week of March 21-25. Please use these kits to test your child(ren) on April 3, especially if you have made plans to travel.
If your child tests positive, please notify the school and keep your child home based on guidance from the school. These added precautions will help us to ensure a safe return to school.
Please also make sure that you and your child(ren) have been vaccinated and/or boosted against COVID-19. This is the best thing you can do to protect yourself, your family, and our community.
As always, multiple pathways are available through your health care provider, through CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies, the state’s My Turn effort, and the San Mateo County Health Department. Free, COVID-19 test kits are also available for order through the United States Postal Service (USPS) at: https://special.usps.com/testkits.
