Colleagues Community Members and Friends,

I want to share with you that of the eleven elementary schools in San Mateo County identified for receiving California Distinguished School recognition, three elementary schools in South San Francisco: Buri Buri, Monte Verde and Skyline elementary Schools. The list of schools may be viewed online at http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/sr/cs/disting2010.asp.  Our three Principals have received official notification from State Schools Chief Jack O’Connell that they have been selected as finalists as California Distinguished Schools. Our hearty congratulations to the South San Francisco Unified school District teachers, students, parents, staff and community for the excellent work in providing a strong program of study to our students.
