The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) was an exam designed to test high school students on basic skills in English and math. With the adoption of  the Common Core Standards the exam was viewed as outdated and suspended with the passage of Senate Bill 172. 

CAHSEE Testing Windows: ENDED

General Information

Senate Bill (SB) 172 suspends the administration of the CAHSEE for next three years. In addition, the law also allows for students who didn't pass the exam but met all other graduation requirements to retroactively request a high school diploma, starting with the class of 2006.
