The El Camino High girls' volleyball team had a historic run in 2019, going 14-0 in league play and reaching the semi-finals of the Central Coast Section (CCS) division III playoffs for the first time ever.
In the first round of the playoffs, the Colts swept Saratoga High three games to none at home.
In the second round, the team traveled to Soledad High and wound up defeating the taller Aztecs three games to none on the opponent's home floor.
In the third round, the Colts took on Burlingame High in a semi-final matchup at Gunn High School in Palo Alto.
The team wound up losing three straight games to the eventual CCS division III champion, ending their Cinderella season with an overall record of 20-1.
