Former South San Francisco Mayor Recognizes Graduates of Migrant Education Parenting Course

Parents graduate from a parenting course sponsored by SSFUSD's migrant education program.
 
South San Francisco Unified School District’s Migrant Education Program enlisted former South San Francisco
 
Mayor Pedro Gonzalez to help commemorate the successful conclusion of a six-week parenting course on December 16, 2019.

Gonzalez thanked the parents for participating in the program and also encouraged them to become involved in the civic life of the country by taking part in the 2020 census.
 
The parenting course, entitled Positive Discipline and Mindfulness, was sponsored by South San Francisco Unified School District’s (SSFUSD) Migrant Education Program and Mind Body Moms.
 
It introduced parents to concepts such as positive discipline and mindfulness practices designed to help them manage stress and reduce emotional reactivity.
