Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)

SSFUSD summer school students
The State of California created the Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) in 2022 to assist families with before and after school care for students in transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, and grades 1-6.

Students who qualify for free or reduced price school meals are eligible for ELOP and may attend the program FREE for up to 210 days per year.

Enrollment

Parents interested in enrolling their children in ELOP must do the following two steps:

  1. Submit an application for free and reduced meals (see this site for additional benefit information)
  2. Fill out the registration forms for the selected ELOP provider from the school list below
  3. You DO NOT have to email your free/reduced meals application verification letter to the District. We are able to verify each child's acceptance into the meal program.

South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) has partnered with the community organizations below to provide extended care for eligible ELOP students from approximately 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM for TK/K students and approximately 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM for students in grades 1-6 at the following locations:
