How to Clear Your Browser Cache

Why Would I Want to Clear My Browser Cache?

There are multiple reasons why you may want to clear your browser cache, ranging from concerns over privacy to correcting problems with page loading.

What Should I try First?

If you have problems viewing a web page, there are several thing you can try.  

Try them in this order:

  1. Press Ctrl-F5 or Command-F5 to force your browser to reload all browser information on your current web page.
  2. If that doesn't work, try clearing your browser cache, closing all browser windows, and trying again.
  3. If that doesn't work, you can either try another browser or rebooting your computer.

These steps will clear some of your temporary internet files and allow your browser to make a fresh start at viewing the pages you want to see.

Internet Explorer Instructions

  1. Load Internet Explorer
  2. Type Ctrl-Shift-Del
    • Uncheck the box for Preserve Favorites website data
    • Make sure that at least the following boxes are checked
    • Temporary Internet Files or Temporary Internet and Website Files
    • Cookies or Cookies and Website Data
    • History
  3. Click on Delete
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Log into Infinite Campus again
  6. Press Ctri-F5 to refresh your screen and you should have full functionality restored
