Who We Serve
South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) is home to a highly regarded STEM program, a pioneering high school ethnic studies program, four California Distinguished Schools, and more than 7,700 students in elementary, middle, and high school.
A leader in the green schools movement, SSFUSD helps students excel by providing meaningful learning experiences that encourage them to explore the world and embrace different ideas. The district has served families in Daly City, South San Francisco, and San Bruno since 1913

Compensation
At SSFUSD, teacher compensation is competitive with other school districts in the area, ranging from $59,784 to $111,372. Special education teachers are additionally provided an additional annual stipend of $2,000. Effective January 1, 2025: Under Education Code section 44939.5, local education agencies are mandated by law to inquire, for each candidate for a certificated position, whether the candidate was the subject of any credible complaints of, substantiated investigations into, or discipline for egregious misconduct that were reported to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
