What We Do
South San Francisco Unified School District's Student & Family Services department guides parents in initiating registration and enrollment of new and continuing students, oversees intra-district and inter-district transfer requests, student attendance and welfare, and emergency procedures. Our team supports student social-emotional learning and connects families to additional resources.
Message from the Assistant Superintendent

As the Assistant Superintendent of the Student and Family Services (SFS) Department, I serve as an essential bridge between school, home, and community. In SFS we believe that by challenging systemic racism and meeting the basic and social-emotional needs of our students, we create the equitable foundation necessary for them to Learn and Navigate a complex world. Our role is to proactively cultivate a culture of belonging and radical partnership, ensuring every individual is empowered to make a lasting Impact, take ownership of their journey, and Thrive in an ever-changing society.
