Before and After School - Extended Programs
Extended Day Programs at SSFUSD

Before & After School • Spring & Winter Break • Summer Camp • ELOP
Your student’s day doesn’t have to end when the bell rings.
SSFUSD’s Extended Day Programs provide a safe, welcoming place for students to start the morning, unwind after school, and stay connected during select school breaks. Across our elementary and middle schools, students build friendships, explore interests, receive homework support, and participate in enriching activities that support wellness, belonging, and whole-child growth.
Programs are available before school and after school, beginning at dismissal and running until 6:00 p.m. Exact hours vary by school and our Provider-Partners.
Programs are offered for a fee and at no cost to those eligible through ELOP. Learn more about all of our programs and how your student's care could be free by clicking here for our Program Guide. Para leer esta información en Español, haga clic aquí.

Important: Space is limited. Enrollment is not guaranteed, and availability varies by school site. SSFUSD and our provider partners work hard to serve as many students as possible, and we continue exploring ways to increase access. Even so, some sites have more space and staffing than others, so program availability can vary by school. We understand this can be difficult, and we appreciate your patience as schools and providers do their best to support as many students as possible.
Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP)
Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) is a California state program that expands access to before and after-school care for students in TK–6. Eligible students may be able to participate in extended day programs at no cost, depending on eligibility and space availability at their school site. Families must complete a Free & Reduced Meals application and register with their school’s program provider to be considered.
