Adding Students, Parents and Other People


Household Creation

There are two ways to create a household in Census:

  1. The Census Wizard tool can be used once all the people in a household have been added and their address exists in Campus.
  2. Alternatively, the Add Household tool may be used to create the household, which then can be connected to an address and have members associated with it.

Once a household is created, the following processes should be used to update the information to reflect changes in family status.

TK Flag


The State of California will be requiring us to track a TK students starting in June.  We want to get a head start to smooth this process by identifying all the TK students and reporting them now.

To facilitate this process, we have created a new flag that should be used to identify all current and future Transitional Kindergarten students.


Please forward these instructions to the appropriate members of your staff.  We would like all TKs to be marked before Christmas Break.

How to set the TK Flag

  1. Find a TK student
  2. Select the “Flags” tab and click on “New”
  3. Select “Transitional Kindergarten” from the drop-down menu
  4. Add BOTH the “Start Date” and “Eligibility Start Date:
  5. Click the “Save” button.
