Strategic Planning
Dear South San Francisco Unified School District Community,
As you know, our District has been working on the development of a strategic plan. A committee comprised of certificated, classified, parents, community, and administrative staff members have worked tirelessly to develop a plan that is reflective of what we want for our students. This plan will serve as our guide for district goals and priorities over the course of the next few years.
We are enthused to share the draft plan with you before it goes to the Board for approval in February, 2016. Please click the links below to review the plan and feel free to provide comments.

What is a Strategic Plan?
A strategic plan is a document used to communicate the organization’s goals, the actions needed to achieve those goals and all of the other critical elements developed during the planning exercise.
The Strategic Plan and the Local Control Accountability Plan
This plan, which focuses on student outcomes signifies ”what” South San Francisco Unified is committed to doing for our students; these are the overarching pillars that will guide our work on behalf of students; our community’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and the work of staff describe “how” South San Francisco Unified intends to meet annual goals for all students, with specific activities to address state and local priorities.
What is the plan for SSF?
South San Francisco Unified has identified several stakeholders who will represent our various constituents – administrators, teachers, classified staff, parents, and students. We will be meeting in October, November, and December to try to finalize the SSFUSD Strategic Plan and get Board approval.
